Analytics. We use Google Analytics and Hotjar to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, time on page, general geographic region, device type). Both tools use cookies. We do not collect personally identifying information through analytics.
Newsletter. If you sign up for the newsletter, we collect your email address. We use it only to send the newsletter and nothing else. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.
Contact form. If you contact us through the contact form, we receive your name, email, and message. We use it only to reply to you.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your email address or any personal data with third parties.
- We do not run ads on the site. There are no ad-network trackers.
- We do not use behavioral retargeting pixels.
Cookies
The site uses cookies set by Google Analytics and Hotjar for analytics purposes. You can block these via your browser settings, a privacy extension, or Do Not Track. The site does not require cookies to function.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you are in the EU/UK or California, you have the right to request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, to ask us to delete it, and to ask us to stop processing it. To make any such request, email the editor via the contact page. We respond within 30 days.
Children
JournalTechniques is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
